Chapter 16, Gravity Wells
Sky Stone
A heavy stone that falls upwards. Tied on a rope, it can lift a ball, but not an anvil.
How it works
- It falls upwards. The world's gravity pulls it up.
- Under a ceiling it comes to rest against it. With nothing above it, it leaves the top of the board.
- Tied on a rope, it lifts anything lighter than itself, slowly if the load is close to its weight.
- An anvil holds it down. Two stones together can lift an anvil.
Tips
- Add a second stone for a load that one cannot lift.
- Place it just under a ceiling so it does not shoot off the board.
