Water Wheel
A paddle wheel turned by pouring water or rolling balls. It drives the gears it meshes with.
How it works
- Water and rolling balls push its paddles round.
- It meshes with gears exactly like a normal gear, so it drives whatever it touches.
- A motor can also turn it.
- It is a weak drive, so every load slows it. Its paddles never hit other gears.
Tips
- Pour onto the side of the wheel away from the gears it drives.
- A small trickle only rocks it. It takes a good amount of water to turn a train a long way.
