How it works

• It is a light wooden box. It slides and tumbles rather than rolls.
• On a conveyor it rides along at the belt's own pace.
• On ice it keeps sliding a long way after a shove, but on wood it stops quickly.
• In a pool it floats.

Tips

• One crate is too light for a weighing scale, but two stacked together are enough.
• It sits steady on a flat surface, so it works well as a platform or a step.
