Steam Boiler

How it works

• Water goes in through the funnel on its top: a Water Tank's stream or a Bucket's pour.
• Heat under it boils the water: a Candle's flame, a Heat Lamp, a laser beam or a rocket's exhaust. Stronger heat works faster, and more water takes longer to warm.
• The steam builds pressure inside, shown on the gauge on top. With no water, nothing happens.
• The pressure holds until something lets it out through the outlet on its side, where a pipe or a valve fits. Flip the boiler to put the outlet on the other side.

Tips

• A line with an open end lets the steam out as it boils, so the pressure never builds up much.
• On a level with the Pressure badge, the boiler bursts if it stays full too long, and the label on the boiler says how long.

Where you'll meet it

You first meet it in level 201, Let Off Steam, in the bonus chapter, Full Steam Ahead, which opens once all 200 levels are solved. Its steam parts join the sandbox then too.
