Steam Valve

How it works

• It fits on a Steam Boiler's outlet or between two pipes, and lets steam through only while it is open.
• Shut, it holds the steam back, so the pressure builds up behind it. Open, all the stored steam rushes out at once: a burst.
• A plain valve is open while its power colour is on, so a button, a timer or a sensor of that colour opens it.
• A valve port joined to nothing is an open end: the steam blows straight out along the valve.

Tips

• Let the pressure build before the valve opens: opened too early, the burst is only a sigh.
• Watch the boiler's gauge to see how much steam is saved up.

Where you'll meet it

You first meet it in level 201, Let Off Steam, in the bonus chapter, Full Steam Ahead, which opens once all 200 levels are solved. Its steam parts join the sandbox then too.
