Trapdoor

How it works

• It is a floor flap that is held rigid, even under an anvil, until its colour's power comes on.
• Then it swings down about its hinge and stays open for the rest of the run.
• The posts at both ends stay standing after it opens.
• Flip it to move the hinge to the other end.

Tips

• Leave plenty of empty space under the flap. It jams on anything that is too close below it.
• The posts remain after it opens, so a ball rolling back along may bump into one.
